About us
We are an independent group of journalists who work anonymously in order to investigate and publish free from political, ideological or economic pressure.
We are driven by curiosity, a love of science and a healthy dose of scepticism. We are interested in hard questions and take nothing for granted without examining the evidence. We belong to no party and champion no ideology. Our commitment is to facts, verifiable sources and the freedom to report.
We believe the future is uncertain, but that this does not make it impossible to understand some of the forces shaping it. Political and economic decisions, the technologies we adopt and the infrastructure we depend on create conditions, limits and consequences. We do not think everything is written, nor that every event follows a plan. Nor do we believe the world is a succession of entirely isolated, random events.
That is why we look at the news in context. A power outage, a digital vulnerability, a regulatory decision or a scientific warning may seem like separate events. When there is evidence linking them, understanding those connections can help us see something no single story shows on its own: how fragility is distributed, who depends on what, and which changes could affect society. And when there is no evidence of a connection, we say so: we do not invent one.
Our work is to gather and cross-check signals, separate facts from hypotheses and offer a broader picture of the state of the world, without presenting a prediction as certainty or fear as evidence. We want to help people better understand the present and think about possible futures with more information.
Independence does not make us infallible. That is why we link our sources, explain what is known and what remains unknown, separate facts from opinions and correct any error visibly. We want our readers to be able to check the information and draw their own conclusions.
What we cover
Power and energy, water, internet and telecommunications, banking and payments, transport and supply chains, health and emergency services, identity and public administration, cyber incidents with verifiable impact, and risks from artificial intelligence. Our coverage is global, with particular attention to Spain and Europe.
How we work
- We detect possible stories in registered sources classified by type, language, region and reliability.
- Anything doubtful, new or with conflicting sources is reviewed by a person before publication.
- Each story links to its sources and shows its verification status, certainty level and when it was last updated.
- We use automation and language models to detect, classify and translate. Some of our news stories are selected and written by an artificial intelligence assistant following our editorial standards: each one links to its sources, passes the same automatic rules as any other story before publication and says so in its public history. The newsroom reviews them and corrects them visibly when needed.
